White Star Petroleum goes live with S/4HANA 1610

BPOG 2017 was stage for the presentation of Oklahoma based White Star Petroleum LLC as the first customer to go live with SAP S/4HANA 1610 release including Oil & Gas industry functionality. The 1610 release proved to be a milestone for SAP with full compatibility to SAP´s specific Oil & Gas functionality and was shipped Q4 in 2016. Using a 4½ month timeline, White Star Petroleum successfully went live with SAP S/4HANA 1610 in early September on time and on budget. This was the key message presented by SAP´s SI Capgemini and Trey Raymer from White Star Petroleum LLC. SAP´s S/4HANA application was favored in a comprehensive evaluation against the upgrade of the existing legacy system. Mid-April 2017 Capgemini was chosen as the SI with the objective to go live 4,5 months later. This ambitious project proved that S/4HANA could be deployed to mid-size companies in a short period within budget. Using Capgemini´s  READYUpstream template optimize and the formation of an Executive Committee together with SAP proved to be the key for success.
